A well-established automotive group and reputable dealership with multiple locations in the Southwest Virginia region is seeking a Controller. Auto Group is looking for a professional with an acumen for numbers and attention to detail acumen.


Job Summary:

The Controller is responsible for accounting and financial reporting with the ability to manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the organization's overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer’s format and time frame.

  • Partner with assigned dealership(s) management to ensure that the store(s) is operating to produce planned profit, return on investment, and equity.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of expenses throughout dealership operations and assist dealership employees with understanding the expenses.

  • Ensure that complete, accurate, and up-to-date accounting records for assigned dealership(s) sales, purchases, and other financial transactions are maintained according to generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Ensure that all tax reporting and payments are made on a timely basis.

  • Develop and maintain an effective cash management system.



  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous automotive industry experience.

  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.

  • Solid skills in accounting software, including CDK and Microsoft Excel.

Part-Time Office Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will be proficient in clerical tasks, team management, payroll, and vendor management. This may require recruiting and appointment setting as needed.

- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Coordinate and oversee administrative procedures and systems
- Supervise administrative staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
- Assist with Excel spreadsheet for budget preparation and expense management
- Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments for upper management
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages, etc.)
- Manage website using WIX and create marketing emails and flyers.
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial, and other data
- New hire onboarding and orientation including background checks, E-Verify, W-4 etc.

- Some Office Manager or similar roles are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures

Our client provides supports for those in recovery, with mental health challenges, new parents, healthcare workers, and displaced people and refugees.  


  • Promptly respond to emails, messages and calls in a professional manner.

  • Distribute relevant data and information to team members.

  • Properly track schedules, support groups, zoom events and administrative tasks

  • Trouble shoot technical issues and address member concerns.

  • Respond to inbound questions and provide sessions links to products and training.

The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment and possess a strong work ethic with attention to safety standards.


  • High level of proficiency in operating several types of heavy equipment, excavators, loaders, dozers, and off-road trucks.

  • Must be able to perform pre-shift inspections and identify safety and maintenance issues.

  • Read and properly follow blueprints to perform tasks such as site demolition, Erosion Control, Mass grading, Fine Grading, Utility Installation, and moving materials.

  • Perform routine inspections and ensure equipment is clean and maintained.

  • Ensure a clean work space and perform minor vehicle PMS requirements.


  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA Standards and safe workspace practices.

  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.

  • Able to communicate and work in a team environment.

  • Valid Drivers License. 

  • Able to pass a criminal background check.

  • Able to pass a drug screen.
