Accounting Clerk

An Accounting Clerk is needed in the New River Valley Area to provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. Must be able to process business transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, and receipts through the ERP system. The Accounting clerk will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial audit support.

  • Provide general ledger entry preparation and postings.

  • Accounts payable invoice reconciliation, matching, and data entry.

  • Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems.

  • Accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

  • Enter key financial transactions and data in the ERP system.

  • Research, track and restore accounting problems and discrepancies.

  • Assist accountant and AR/AP Manager in performing accounts receivable invoicing, posting, and credit memos.

  • Perform banking deposits.

  • Serve as the office administrator when the HR Assistant is not available.

  • Provide clerical and administrative support.

  • Associate's Degree or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly respond to emails, messages and calls in a professional manner.

  • Distribute relevant data and information to team members.

  • Properly track schedules, support groups, zoom events and administrative tasks

  • Trouble shoot technical issues and address member concerns.

  • Respond to inbound questions and provide sessions links to products and training.

Duties:
- Food preparation for large events.
- Cash handling and cashier register activities.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations

Responsibilities:

  • High level of proficiency in operating several types of heavy equipment, excavators, loaders, dozers, and off-road trucks.

  • Must be able to perform pre-shift inspections and identify safety and maintenance issues.

  • Read and properly follow blueprints to perform tasks such as site demolition, Erosion Control, Mass grading, Fine Grading, Utility Installation, and moving materials.

  • Perform routine inspections and ensure equipment is clean and maintained.

  • Ensure a clean work space and perform minor vehicle PMS requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA Standards and safe workspace practices.

  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.

  • Able to communicate and work in a team environment.

  • Valid Drivers License. 

  • Able to pass a criminal background check.

  • Able to pass a drug screen.
